A stronger voice in global AI governance means many things for Africa. A continent with rigorous AI research capacity grows economies better able to capture the $1.2 trillion opportunity. By developing evidence-based policy frameworks, African nations can ensure AI development benefits their 1.4 billion citizens while contributing unique perspectives to global governance discussions.
